    Humic Acid (HA)

Humic Acid is a natural organic compound derived from decomposed plant and animal matter (leonardite, peat, lignite), serving as a versatile soil amendment and nutrient enhancer to boost soil health and crop productivity. Humic acid is a macromolecular organic substance that exists widely in nature. It is widely used in various fields such as agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, petroleum, chemical industry, building materials and environmental protection. The promotion of ecological agriculture, pollution-free agricultural production, green food and pollution-free environmental protection products made “humic acid” highly praised.

    Core Components & Key Functions

    • Main components: Includes humic acid, fulvic acid, and humin—all with high cation exchange capacity (CEC) and chelating properties.
    • Soil health promotion: Improves soil structure by binding soil particles, enhancing aeration and water retention (critical for both dry and waterlogged soils).
    • Nutrient activation: Chelates macroelements (N, P, K) and microelements (Zn, Fe, Mn), making them more available to crops and reducing leaching loss.
    • Crop growth stimulation: Stimulates root elongation and branching, enhances photosynthesis, and regulates plant hormone balance for vigorous growth.
    • Stress resistance enhancement: Boosts tolerance to drought (improves water uptake), salinity (reduces ion toxicity), and diseases (activates plant defense mechanisms).

    Key Agricultural Advantages

    • Universal soil adaptability: Works for acidic, neutral, and alkaline soils—balances pH, reduces soil compaction, and remediates degraded or saline-alkali soils.
    • Fertilizer efficiency improvement: Reduces chemical fertilizer usage by 10%-20% while maintaining or increasing yields, cutting farming costs.
    • Eco-friendly: Promotes beneficial soil microorganisms (e.g., nitrogen-fixing bacteria), reduces soil pollution, and supports sustainable agriculture.
    • Crop quality upgrade: Enhances fruit sugar content, coloring, and shelf life; increases protein and nutrient levels in grains and vegetables.

    Suitable Crops & Application Scenarios

    • All crops: Cereals (wheat, corn, rice), cash crops (fruits, vegetables, cotton), oilseeds (soybean, rape), and horticultural plants.
    • High-priority scenarios: Degraded soils (low fertility, compaction), saline-alkali lands, drought-prone areas, and intensive farming systems (to mitigate soil fatigue).
    • Critical growth stages: Seedling establishment (root development), flowering/fruit setting, and stress periods (drought, cold, salinity).

    Application Recommendations

    • Base application: Apply 10-20 kg per mu (powder/granule form), mixed with organic fertilizer or chemical fertilizers. Plow into 10-15 cm soil before sowing/transplanting.
    • Topdressing: Apply 5-10 kg per mu during key stages (e.g., wheat tillering, tomato fruit expansion), broadcast or furrow-applied.
    • Foliar spraying: Dilute to 0.05%-0.1% concentration (liquid humic acid). Spray 2-3 times with 7-10 days interval, focusing on leaves and young shoots.
    • Drip irrigation/fertigation: Dilute liquid humic acid to 0.1%-0.2% solution, apply 3-5 kg per mu per application, split into 3-4 times for uniform absorption.
    • Seed soaking: Dilute to 0.02%-0.05% solution, soak seeds for 6-12 hours to improve germination rate and seedling robustness.

    Notes for Use

    • Avoid mixing with strong acidic fertilizers/pesticides to prevent flocculation and reduced effectiveness.
    • For saline-alkali soils, increase application frequency (4-5 times per season) to enhance remediation effects.
    • Use with chemical fertilizers or organic manure for synergistic effects—do not replace essential nutrients (N, P, K) entirely.
Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place; seal tightly to prevent moisture absorption and caking.
